How does self-storage work in Stokado?

Self-storage is a storage method for individuals and companies based on very clear and simple principles. It is a type of storage building that is divided into many separately locked boxes of various sizes (from 0.5 m² storage rooms to 50-meter rooms). You rent exactly the space you need for an indefinite period of time and use it as you want and when you want. We provide you with the support of self-storage experts at every stage of our cooperation, safe storage of your property and additional services that will help you optimize the process of packing, transporting and storing things.

What size boxes can I use?

Our boxes are from 0.5 to +50 m² (but we also offer other sizes upon individual request). So you can freely adjust the size of the rented space to the number and size of things you want to store. If you are interested in a specific size of the box, fill out the contact form.

Is my property insured?

Of course. The things you store at Stokado must be properly protected. You can bring your own policy from your insurance agent or - which is much more convenient - buy insurance from us when signing the rental agreement.

What can't I store in Stokado?

There are items and substances that you cannot store in our boxes, mainly for safety reasons. They can be divided into the following groups:

animals and plants;
flammable substances and those with a tendency to spontaneous combustion, including: LPG, petrol, diesel oil, heating oil, kerosene, benzene, fuel and methyl alcohol, turpentine, solvents and thinners, acetone, acetylene, aerosols and sprays (including air fresheners and hairsprays), paints, car window fluids, hydrogen
radioactive substances;
toxic substances, in particular chemicals, methyl alcohol, stain removers, pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, cleaning agents, paint thinners and removers, wood preservatives;
corrosive substances, in particular acids, alkalis, sanitary cleaners, descaling agents, caustic soda, degreasing agents;
all kinds of weapons, ammunition and warfare equipment;
all kinds of garbage and waste, including but not limited to vehicle wrecks and their parts, which are not suitable for use and recovery;
substances and objects that spoil easily or may be attacked by pests;
precious items, including money, securities, precious metals and stones, jewellery, natural fur products, works of art, collectors' items and those that cannot be replaced;
illegal substances, especially drugs and psychoactive substances;
goods originating from crime, in particular smuggling or theft;
asbestos and any products containing it;
oxidizing substances and preparations such as peroxides, chlorates, nitric acid and perchloric acid;
all kinds of irritants for the eyes, nose and throat;
substances and preparations harmful to the environment, in particular those containing freons (CFCs), PCBs and PCTs;
substances harmful to health, including mainly carcinogenic, mutagenic, negatively affecting fertility;
heavy metals, in particular mercury (including that in thermometers), cadmium and zinc (in batteries), lead and copper;
allergenic substances.

In what conditions are my items stored?

We provide you with clean, dry and ventilated boxes in which we maintain a constant temperature and an appropriate level of humidity, suitable for the safe storage of things. Our portfolio also includes container facilities.

Do you have direct access boxes?

Of course. Our facility has so-called direct access boxes. You enter them directly from the outside (specifically from the parking zone), and not from the corridor in the building, as is the case with standard boxes.

Can I work in a cubicle?

The main purpose of the boxes is to store things, but there is no problem in doing small jobs in the box, such as packing orders for your customers. However, it should be remembered that you cannot stay in the boxes permanently and you cannot register them as a place of business.

ACCESS AND SECURITY

When can I access my box?

Access to the rented box is unlimited. You can use it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Remember that access to the box does not mean our office hours! You can check these on the location pages.

How are my things secured at Stokado?

We provide you with a double protection system. When you sign the contract, you receive a unique PIN code, with which you unlock the entrance to Stokado, the building and the floor where your box is located every time you visit us. The box itself is locked with a state-of-the-art electronic lock (in the case of facilities from 2022) or in older buildings and containers - with a padlock, to which only you have the key. You can open the electronic locks from our company application, which you download to your smartphone. Your box is a secluded room, to which only you and the people to whom you reveal your PIN code have access. No one else will get into the storage room without your consent and knowledge.

Is there monitoring on the premises?

Of course! We use a 24/7, modern surveillance system equipped with high-quality CCTV cameras. In addition, each box has been equipped with an alarm system that will send you a push message if the box is opened inadvertently. Also when you simply forget to close it. In this way, we provide you and your belongings with 24/7 security.

Who has access to the space I rent?

Your locker is a separate room to which only you have access. No one else, not even Stokado employees, will have access to it without your consent and knowledge during the term of the contract. The exception is a situation in which you yourself reveal your unique PIN code to someone and give access to your box.

AGREEMENT AND PAYMENTS

How do I book a booth that suits me?

If you want to be sure that the box you have chosen will remain free until you sign a contract with us, use the reservation option:The reservation is 100% free and non-binding. It allows you to book a storage unit for up to 3 days (counted from the day of reservation) with a guarantee of price stability and discounts applicable at the time of reservation.

How much does it cost to rent a box?

The price depends on the size of the room, location and length of the contract. Usually, a smaller room is needed than we think. You can always find the current prices in the booking system available here. You can also contact our employee directly and ask about the current price list. If you are interested in a specific price offer, you can make a 3-day, non-binding reservation with a guarantee of a fixed price.

Do you charge a deposit?

Before renting, we may charge you a deposit of one month's rent. The deposit is returned at the end of the rental period.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay for the rental of a box and other available services at Stokado by card and cash on site or via online payments, including: BLIK, transfer, card or virtual wallet. Additionally, we offer convenient recurring payments by linking a card.

How does the contract signing proceed?

You can conclude the agreement at any time and in any place on our website. All you need to do is provide the information necessary to conclude the agreement. You will receive access to your box immediately after paying the first rental invoice, so you can do it even on a holiday.You can also sign the agreement in person, during a visit to our office. If you are an individual client, in addition to providing us with basic data, you will need to show your ID card, and in the case of companies, you will also need to provide a Tax Identification Number and a power of attorney to sign agreements.

What is the minimum rental period for a box at Stokado?

The minimum rental period for a cubicle is only 7 days! We don't want to force you into long-term contracts and pay for space if you don't need it at all. Of course, you can rent a cubicle for much longer. We offer open-ended contracts with monthly payments - and if you want to end the lease, please let us know at least 7 days before the end of the billing period.

What is the notice period for terminating the contract?

With an open-ended lease, you are only bound by a 7-day notice period effective at the end of the billing period. We understand that your plans may change, which is why we guarantee you such flexibility.

Will I be able to change my box during the contract?

Yes, you can change the size of the rented space at any time. Depending on your needs, you can change the box to a larger or smaller one.

Can I view the boxes before signing the lease?

Of course, we will always be happy to welcome you to our office. Call us and arrange a presentation or fill out the form.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Will you provide me with the necessary packing and moving materials?

Yes. We have a store with items for transporting and storing things. These include high-quality cardboard boxes, boxes, foils, adhesive tapes, gloves. You don't know what and how much you will need to pack and store things? Our specialists will help you and advise you on what is best to buy and in what quantity.

Can I address the parcel directly to Stokado, even if I am unable to collect it from the courier in person?

Yes. During office hours, we provide a service of collecting correspondence and parcels from our clients. The parcels we collect are properly secured and wait until you collect them yourself. Contact us and ask about the details of this service.

Are the boxes equipped with shelves?

No. The boxes in our self storage are empty, so you can organize the space exactly as you need it. Without unnecessary restrictions! Do you have your own furniture? Great! Don't pay for the space that our shelves take up. Do you need shelves? No problem! At stokado you can rent or buy professional shelves.

Do you clean the stalls?

We attach great importance to cleanliness. That is why we clean all common areas on an ongoing basis. We also make sure that your box is clean and empty when we hand it over for your use. During the term of the contract, however, you must take care of its cleanliness yourself, at your own discretion. Remember that the contract obliges you to remove all your belongings from the box after its expiry and leave it in the condition in which you found it.

Is there WIFI available in the warehouse?

Yes, you can use our WIFI network - login details are available at the reception.

Are the boxes equipped with electrical outlets?

There are no sockets in the warehouses, but you can use electricity by connecting to the sockets located in the corridors (no further than 5m from your cubicle).
